As sporting locations go, playing padel in Hyde Park is pretty special. Located just inside the park on the south side, the closest tube stations are Knightsbridge and South Kensington. Although the court is based in the city’s most expensive neighbourhood, Park Sports runs affordable courses for both beginners and advanced players.

The Padel Yard is a vibe. The courts are surrounded by a lounge area with deckchairs, bean bags and pickleball courts. A killer sound system, juice bar and ice cold beers provide the perfect setting to hang out after your game. However we like it best in winter playing under the floodlights, with the dramatic urban skyline behind you. If you squint hard enough, you could be mistaken you were in New York. The club hosts regular intro sessions, social tournaments split by playing level and private coaching.
